Kitchen 151

The owner adds her personal touch, and you can feel it in her dishes and the cosy atmosphere. It's intimate enough for a date, while casual enough for an afterwork meal.

Kitchen 151 is easy to miss as its dual façade looks like a gallery and/or intimate dining room – yet that is by design.  The restaurant owner, Simona (who is ever present not only through her dishes, but also through the restaurant checking on her customers) arrived in Brussels from Israel after falling in love with the owner of the accompanying gallery, Gallery 151. The first time we went it was part of a large group, and despite being larger than initially planned, Simona and the others were incredibly accommodating and kind. Especially given our many dietary requests (good to note there are plenty of delicious vegan and vegetarian options)!

The dishes are meant for sharing, in classic Mediterranean style. Fortunately, as a large group, we were able to try many different appetizers, mains, and dessert. Upon returning we tried even more. The meals were so good, in my post-dinner, food high, I even bought one of Simona’s cook books! 🙂

Pros
  • A casual yet elegant feel
  • A welcoming place for amazing Mediterrean food
Cons
  • Can’t think of a single one!

Favorite place in the area
Love this place and their food so much, I immediately bought the cookbook (even though I don't cook)! Also has a wonderful atmosphere.
